We've bought a house earlier than anticipated and are looking to sublet our 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom one-story house in Barton Hills/South Lamar, Austin (near the intersection of Lamar + Menchaca)
Lease: ideal start date of February 15 or March 1 through July 31, 2022 at $2850/month (this is very underpriced - everything similar around here is $3k+). Half of one month security deposit due to us (my kids damaged the walls in a couple places, we want at least to cover that).
Landlord situation: owner of the house bought it decades ago, lives in another city. Professionally managed by excellent property management company (e.g. they respond to maintenance requests the same day and raised our rent only $50/month at renewal)
Neighborhood: this is an upscale part of Austin, as walkable as it comes. 10 minutes north to downtown, 10 minutes west and you're in the hills. Our street is very quiet and the neighbors are friendly and wonderful.
Parking: 1 covered carport space, 2 cars fit in the driveway (though not side by side). This is a residential street with ample street parking at all times.
Bedrooms: large master bedroom in the back with enormous closet, large-ish bedroom in the front with closet, middle bedroom is smaller (but still holds queen bed + desk just fine, does have closet).
Bathrooms: master has large walk-in shower and separate tub and dual vanities, small front bathroom has shower stall only.
Kitchen: brand new gas range, built in microwave, brand new dishwasher, stainless fridge with drawer freezer.
Tons of additional storage: this house has a plastic shed out in the yard plus a large attached utility room (with laundry area + extra utility sink) plus a small workshop off the carport with built-in shelving + large work table for your projects.
Laundry: house came with only hookups, I'm willing to sell you my 1.5 year old Whirlpool top loader + dryer from Home Depot for $500 total if you like (original cost new, ~$1100 - they're a pain to move and I want to get a front loader for our new house).
Yard: fenced with back patio (partially covered). You're supposed to mow, but the grass isn't picture perfect so it's not too big of a deal.
